For who thought that 5th Avenue is the New York's most fashionable neighborhood is completely wrong. Meatpacking District is the coolest place I've ever seen in New York City.
Last weekend I went to NY with my mother for the holiday, and guess what? It was the first time I've been to this wonderful neighborhood which I loved. I've been to New York a couple times before and I've to say that it was one of the best times I've spent there.
My uncle is getting married in a couple weeks and he hadn't decided yet what he would wear for his wedding, and yeahhh, we went shopping! (and I love shopping). So, we went to this amazing area and I felt in love with there.
The Meatpacking District (it owes its name to the meat distribution companies that once dominated the area), not so long ago, used to be one of the worse places in NY. It was known as a center for drug dealing and prostitution, but at the beginning in the late 1990s it went through a transformation and became the most fashionable and coolest place in New York City.
There're so many stylish boutiques there such as Alexander McQueen (which is gorgeous),Christian Louboutin, Stella McCartney, Tory Burch, Diane von Furstenberg, Hugo Boss, Moschino, and of course the Apple Store... And representing the Brazilian Fashion; Carlos Miele. If you're looking for the best Bars, Restaurants and Night Clubs, Meatpacking District is the perfect place. You can also find some art galleries, high-end furniture stores, and fabulously expensive hairdressers.
I was fascinated by the people's style there. Everybody was amazing.
Now every time I go to NYC I've to go there.
And don't be crazy if you see some celebrities walking around, cause they are always there!

Para quem pensava que a 5ª Avenida era o lugar mais chic de Nova York, esta completamente enganado. Meatpacking District e o melhor lugar que eu ja vi em Nova York.
No fim de semana passado eu fui para NY passar o feriado com a minha mae , e adivinhem? Foi a primeira vez que eu fui a esse lugar incrivel e eu fiquei encantado. Eu ja tinha ido a Nova York algumas vezes antes, mas eu tenho que confessar que essa foi uma das melhores vezes que estive la.
Bom, meu tio vai se casar em algumas semanas e ele ainda nao tinha decidido o que usar usar no seu casamento, e entao fomos as compras! (coisa que eu amo fazer ne). Foi ai que fomos a esse lugar incrivel pelo qual eu me apaixonei.
O Meatpacking District (que tem esse por causa das empresas de distribuição de carne que ja dominaram a area), ja foi um dos piores lugares em NY. Era conhecido como um centro de tráfico de drogas e prostituicao, mas no inicio na decada de 1990 passou por uma transformacao e se tornou o lugar mais elegante e mais legal de Nova York.
La voce pode encontrar muitas boutiques chiquerrimas como Alexander McQueen (que e incrivel), Christian Louboutin, Stella McCartney, Tory Burch, Diane Von Furstenberg, Hugo Boss, Moschino, e nao podia deixar de ter, a loja da Apple ... E representando a moda brasileira, Carlos Miele. Mas se você esta procurando os melhores bares, restaurantes e casas noturnas, Meatpacking District tambem e o lugar perfeito. Você tambem pode encontrar algumas galerias de arte, lojas de moveis de alto padrao e saloes de beleza carissimos.
Fiquei fascinado pelo estilo das pessoas lá. Todo mundo era um maximo.
Agora toda vez que voltar em NY eu serei obrigado a voltar la.
Ahh,e nao fique louco se voce ver algumas celebridades andando na rua, porque eles estao sempre la!
